Country music in New York might die like a sidewalk crack bloom on a well trodden path. Formed by Andrew Spaulding (Pill) and Oscar Allen Guinn (Rhinestone) Quartz Casino Band thrives in the Brooklyn soil: watered by whiskey, fertilized by lead paint flakes, and the J train’s lullaby.  Where the train goes the track goes first; respect to those who sang before is the key to country. QCB touches on the music of Steve Earle, Eagles, Lee Hazlewood, and, of course, George Jones.  The diversity of songwriting is apparent, no one song sounds the same as the last, but they’re all complimentary like a good plate of country cooking should be.  Share a beer and a tear, have a party if it’s hearty, Quartz Casino Band will be there for both.

Jason Loughlin’s creative guitar playing has supported renowned artists such as Emmylou Harris, Steven Earle, Mary Chapin Carpenter, and Dale Watson. On the release of his debut album, Peach Crate, Loughlin stepped out of the sideman role to prove that he is a formidable front man in his own right. Drawing upon the rich musical roots--the moods and memories--of his childhood days in Florida, Loughlin’s pays homage to many of his guitar heroes- players like Jimmy Bryant, Hank Garland, Danny Gatton and Les Paul--and to the days when the guitar reigned supreme on the airwaves.

Goatroper is a Good Timing Upper Midwestern outfit from the beautiful city of Minneapolis, MN. Lead by Mike Lee and Abbey Janli - this group blends the traditions of American music with the rhythms of a Honky-Tonk night - featuring tight harmonies - infectious grooves and a sound that'll have you coming back for another helping. From a young age Leah Tash was drawn to folk, blues and country music and found solace in artists like Bessie Smith, Bob Dylan and The Carter Family. These early influences now dance through the stories Leah tells in song, as she reflects on healing, heartache and the nurturing of an adventurous spirit. Since the age of 17 years old, Leah has been performing her songwriting throughout New York City and beyond. Today, you can catch her pouring her heart into these songs live either as a solo act, or a swinging rock ’n’ roll ensemble with The Leah Tash Band.

Margo Valiante combines Alt-Country and Blues into a sound that is her own Americana. Raised in Wyoming with a long stint in Texas, she has been calling Brooklyn her home since 2010. She's most comfortable telling sad stories through dark, powerful vocals that would lead one to believe she was properly raised on Townes Van Zandt and Bonnie Raitt. Her affinity for the Telecaster is a good indication that she's not going to tiptoe around you.

SANFORD: is the brainchild of Brooklyn based & South Carolina born musician Jay Sanford. He does all of the writing, arranging, and performing for his recorded music, including previous original releases: “Figured I’d Ask Anyway” and “Anymore”, from his first album The View Changes. Pulling from a wide range of musical influences, SANFORD: curates his live show setlists including originals and covers across genres and decades... he subscribes to the idea that good music is good music… At one of his shows your liable to hear anything from old school country, Americana, classic rock, retro-soul, Grateful Dead jams, deep cuts, singalongs, and even some Zappa scattered in.

There was a woman, known simply as Miss Jim, who played guitar and drank whiskey deep in the hills. Her lyrics and musicality made her a legend in the countryside. Decades later, her great-granddaughter picked up an old guitar, and followed the calling of her roots. Playing Cosmic Country and Honky Tonk tunes, CRYS walks the line between past and future, between acoustic and electric— while drawing from iconic influences like Patsy Cline, Curtis Mayfield, Elizabeth Cotten, and The Chicks. Her evocative songwriting and rich soulful voice blend to create a colorful tapestry of songs centering on love, heartbreak, ancestral ties, dreams, and human connection. Having shared festival bills with Allison Russell, Brennen Leigh, and the California Honey Drops- and stages with the likes of Kaïa Kater, Yasmin Williams, Julia Cannon, and Kafari, she connects to listeners - and the countryside of her heritage- by playing banjo and hollowbody guitar.
