Demolition String Band are longtime mainstays of NYC's country music scene. They’ve released seven albums and have toured the US extensively as well as Ireland, the UK and Europe. With a truly memorable and unique collection of songs, Elena Skye and Boo Reiners and their Demolition String Band have built their reputation slow and steady, mile upon mile. Their sound is timeless. Rustic, taut harmonies woven with tall tales and truth, joy and heartbreak, despair and redemption are all underscored with soulful twang and greasy grooves.

Experience the swampy, twangy, deep-fried country-rock stylings of these New York City rock n' rollers. With roots in Texas, the Carolinas, and the Motor City, the Whiskey Biscuits will have you two-steppin’ to classic country one minute and screaming along to heartland rock anthems the next. Picture Merle Haggard, Dwight Yoakam, Warren Zevon, and Tom Petty sat around a card game in a dusty old honky-tonk
The Other Planets are a 4-piece psychedelic country band based in Brooklyn. Their songs arc towards the early ‘70s sounds of country music, when country and folk fused together on the west coast to give birth to rock n roll’s more laid-back twin. They go heavy on the three-part harmonies and savant-like pedal steel playing, with songs of long strange trips and poignant yearnings from the edge of the barstool.

Country music in New York might die like a sidewalk crack bloom on a well trodden path. Formed by Andrew Spaulding (Pill) and Oscar Allen Guinn (Rhinestone) Quartz Casino Band thrives in the Brooklyn soil: watered by whiskey, fertilized by lead paint flakes, and the J train’s lullaby. Where the train goes the track goes first; respect to those who sang before is the key to country. QCB touches on the music of Steve Earle, Eagles, Lee Hazlewood, and, of course, George Jones. The diversity of songwriting is apparent, no one song sounds the same as the last, but they’re all complimentary like a good plate of country cooking should be. Share a beer and a tear, have a party if it’s hearty, Quartz Casino Band will be there for both.

Margo Valiante combines Alt-Country and Blues into a sound that is her own Americana. Raised in Wyoming with a long stint in Texas, she has been calling Brooklyn her home since 2010. She's most comfortable telling sad stories through dark, powerful vocals that would lead one to believe she was properly raised on Townes Van Zandt and Bonnie Raitt. Her affinity for the Telecaster is a good indication that she's not going to tiptoe around you.

Lovechild has always toed the line between rock, folk, country, and indie, gaining a reputation through his dynamic live performances, his poignant lyricism and attention to the craft of writing good songs (or at least tryin’), and his unwavering, outsider mentality. With powerful female vocals that cover an emotional range from determined to comic to vulnerable and a talented backing band steeped in classic country and western styles of the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s, the band exhibits a “clarity and sincerity that bring Patsy Cline to mind” (Nashville Scene, 2025). Fronted by Ramona Martinez, whose songwriting has earned her recognition from Wide Open Country as one of the "15 Latino Artists Shaping Country Music," this Charlottesville, Virginia-based band is rooted in the traditional sounds of country music but unafraid of pushing boundaries and highlighting the connections across border cultures. They have appeared at several Americana festivals including Red Wing Roots (2024), Rooster Walk (2025), Bristol Rhythm & Roots (2025), and has opened for touring artists like Margo Cilker, Colby Acuff, Willi Carlisle, Redd Volkaert, Joshua Hedley, Donna the Buffalo, and Kashus Culpepper. Armed with her father’s first guitar, a wry sense of humor and a startlingly cohesive and masterful tone, Elise Leavy writes and sings folk songs that sound like they came straight from Laurel Canyon in the 70’s. Often likened to Joni Mitchell and Judee Sill, Elise says it must be the California seawater getting inside her head and heart from an early age. “I’ve always loved folk songs, and I think I should have been alive in the 70’s, but since I wasn’t, I do my best to bring that world that I love to my world today.”

Raised in Colorado, guitarist and songwriter Wolf van Elfmand creates with inspiration from a swath of American roots music. Since 2019 he’s released 5 records including Don’t Call It Country, which hit shelves on March 1st 2024. Wolf is undoubtedly a familiar-looking, archetypal figure from a version of the West, with musical DNA patchwork comprised of a 50s and 60s folk revival vocal vibrato plus round and sturdy fingerstyle guitar picking with hands trying to figure what a Rocky Mountain-raised, less acrobatic Chet Atkins might have sounded like. His work is a product of a good sense of humor, a good heart, and his ability to ignore the omnipresent whispers from life asking him to be still.
