Ana Egge is a songwriter and apprentice luthier from Brooklyn, NY. She has released 13 studio albums playing her homemade guitar, recorded with Steve Earle, written with Jimmie Dale Gilmore and toured with Lucinda Williams, The Flatlanders and supported George Jones to name a few. Ana currently tours her own music and is a member of Iris DeMent’s band. Tonight she fronts The Balladears, her longtime side project singing classic country and honky-tonk covers from the '50's-'70's (plus a couple originals thrown in). Backed by a stellar band of NYC all-stars, Rob Heath- drums (Sunny War, Aaron Lee Tasjan), John Kengla -bass (David Byrne, Ben Kweller) & Raphael Mcgregor- pedal steel (Willie Nelson, Queen Esther, Brain Cloud). ++++ Loretta!
